We have tried on all standard trailer hitches including: Top latch hitches, Bulldog hitches, and the Ratchet Hitch (Most Popular of hitches) for manufactured hitches.  This application has true safety and security in mind including Stainless Steel Lock included in System as well as a Nylon Locking nut for your existing Trailer Ball.
